FAST FRIDAY AND FUN FORD WEEKEND CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER
Import Face Off Will Run Sunday as Motorplex Season Finale
ENNIS, Texas (Nov. 6, 2015) – Weather concerns have forced Texas Motorplex officials to cancel tonight’s Fast Friday event as well as Fun Ford Weekend on Saturday.
The 2015 Texas Motorplex season will conclude with Sunday’s Import Face Off – a celebration of all things Import as well as a test-n-tune for any domestic vehicles.
Gates will open at 8 a.m. with racer and car show registration open at 9 a.m. until noon. Car show judging starts at 11 a.m. Heads up qualifying will be at 10 a.m. and noon. Final eliminations start at 1 p.m. and awards ceremony will start at 5:30 p.m.
Racing and the car show are just two of many events going on during the one-day Import showcase. The Sound Off contest will award Usaci double points for the Stereo Crank It Up contest. Low riders, trucks and sport bikes have their own events and there will be vendors, a midway, live DJ, a burnout contest (time permitting) and much more.
Tickets and registration will be available at the gate the day of the event. Class and event information is available on www.importfaceoff.net along with the flyer that will serve as a $3 discount on spectator admission.
Texas Motorplex was the first all-concrete stadium-style drag racing facility ever constructed. Built in 1986, Texas Motorplex has been the place of many drag racing milestones and world record performances. The Billy Meyer-owned facility hosts a number of racing and car show events between March and November each year and also features the Champion’s Club – an 11,000 square-foot facility – that serves fully catered events throughout the year.
